If they have horns on the top of their head
Who am I to say they don’t have hooves
Say my name as you bend over backwards and howl to the heavens
Fan the flames of false idolatry forever more
Keep us on our toes
Listen for the sound of our still singing limbs
Those narcissistic hymns
Who do you think that I am?
I don’t condone I condemn
Oh my god there’s a liar on the loose
We believed and we walked into the noose
In through the out march out through the in
Carry on routine
An unmarked grave in the garden of sin
A spread eagle thief
We know you’ll make the face that helped earn you your name
Drown a dead horse and beat it to death
With a tongue the weight of a tyrant
Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
These guys instantly became one of my favorite core bands after picking up Hexes on vinyl back in 2017. The majority of Ceremony’s tracks are punishingly fast and heavy, with Dead Husk being my absolute favorite. Their sound is as tight as ever. Though, I also whole heartedly welcome the doomier side of their sound on the title track Ceremony, which reminds me of the Sacto band Will Haven. However, with Ceremony, DSGNS proves they are in a league of their own. Don’t sleep on this! scares.exe
